چکیده

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect hydrothermal pretreatment (HTP) at 90, 125 and 155 °C on extent anaerobic digestion (AD) sewage sludge, energy balance, distribution availability N P. AD evaluated with four bench-scale mesophilic, semi-continuous digesters 20-d (Phase 1) 10-d 2) solids retention time (SRT), fed raw sludge (R1), 90 (R2), (R3) (R4) HTP sludge. two mixtures used in had high ultimate biodegradability (58.3 for Phase 1 56.9% 2). With exception 2 R4, increased organic matter destruction methane production. mixture resulted formation propionate levels, which led a lower significantly changed digesters’ bacterial communities, but minor archaeal communities. Abundance well-known degraders all very low; however, Proteiniphilum, is involved degradation intermediates pathway, found relatively abundance R4. highest net gain (?E) obtained control (i.e., without HTP) both phases. heat recovery greater than 85% required attain same as or higher. followed by reduction, overall crude protein removal release ammonium N. HTP-AD decreased P availability. Thus, recommended before after HTP-AD, respectively.

Inverted phase fermentation as a pretreatment for anaerobic digestion of cattle manure and sewage sludge.

The aim of this research study was to analyse the effect of applying inverted phase fermentation (IPF) prior to the anaerobic digestion of cattle manure and sewage sludge. IPF promotes the endogenous bacteria present in waste and hence enzymatic hydrolysis, producing a solid-liquid separation. The clarified bottom layer or liquid phase (LP, 70% volume in manure and 65% in sludge), and the thick...

Improvement of Anaerobic Digestion of Sewage Sludge, Using Combined Hydrogen Peroxide and Thermal Pre-Treatment

The present study investigates the influence of individual and combined hydrogen peroxide and thermal pre-treatment of waste activated sludge on anaerobic digestion. For so doing, it employs anaerobic batch reactors in the mesophilic conditions. For comparison, soluble fractions of organic matter, biogas production, biochemical methane potential, removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD), and vol...

Anaerobic co-digestion of coffee waste and sewage sludge.

The feasibility of the anaerobic co-digestion of coffee solid waste and sewage sludge was assessed. Five different solid wastes with different chemical properties were studied in mesophilic batch assays, providing basic data on the methane production, reduction of total and volatile solids and hydrolysis rate constant. Most of the wastes had a methane yield of 0.24-0.28 m3 CH4(STP)/kg VS(initia...
